HAND MADE BALVENIE COPPER DIPPING DOGS

These hand made solid Copper dipping dogs were made especially for Daniel Marshall to show off at his Exclusive Campfire Events around the world when he paired his award winning cigars with the award winning Balvenie Whisky.

The Whisky dog originated in the 1800's in Scotland.
Distillery workers crafted dipping dogs to lower into casks to steal whisky. The dipping dog, attached to a chain and secured to the workers' belts was concealed in their pant legs. The thieves could then easily take a drink on the job or sneak it out of the distillery.   Attached to a chain, always by one's side, and man's best friend-hence the name, dipping dog. What makes this piece very rare is that it was handcrafted in the Balvenie distillery and has the "Balvenie" name plate welded on to this rare and historic whisky collectors item. This is a fully functional dipping dog and are perfect for any whisky enthusiast.

Very special for collection and makes a enchanting conversation piece.
